I write from experience, often times from direct experience in the world of flackery, using that experience to interpret the news and the impact of PR and “spin” not just on the news, but on all of us as media consumers, as well as on the world at large.

When writing from direct experience about specific situations, I will change/omit names of people and PR firms in order to focus on the substance of the discussion and protect client confidentiality. (And not land my ass in court.)

Interpretations are just that. I do my best to support them with solid examples, facts, and evidence—but ultimately, all content is my personal view of the facts, and opinions are not facts.
